Biography

Carlos Alvarez…Who he is: 

He is director of the Miami-Dade Police Department and has served our community for more than 27 years.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida International University.

 He is a graduate of both the Senior management Institute for Police and the FBI National Academy.

 He has received many awards for his assistance and support of community and civic organizations.

 Carlos was eight years old when he left Cuba to come to the United States with his family.
